:banghead: This is me I have a 93 It runs rough at an idle and is very touchy when you press the gas pedel. I have done a tune up, replaced the intake gaskets and plenum gaskets. Also have replace the TPS, AIC, and the MAFS. Once in a while when I start it it will start then die a couple of time then it will start and stay running, It will some times go on high idle and I have shut the car off and restart it to kick back down. When I put the car in gear how ever it still runs rough but will drive some what alright. I could only pull up one code and that is 34 the MAP sensor. I can't find it anywhere???? Any suggestions on all of this

Welcome to AF. MAF sensor, no map. Sounds like this could be a problem, rebuilt units can be erratic in quality. Also check the connector to it.

Well I went and put yet another new MAF sensor in the car and it still runs the same way. It now idles where it should but real rough, and as soon as you touch the gas it clears up but you can hear a a slight hesitation once in awhile. What next?

This is too vague a problem to give any relevant recommendations, a full scan should be done to look at pending codes and sensor inputs. Make sure all the vacuum hoses are in place, did it run like this before the intake was done, if not, retrace your work.

Yes it did run like this before the intake was done. I'm gonna try a couple more thing myself. My brother in law is comming next weekend with all is gadgets to do all the testing for me. All vacume hoses are new and I'm running between 5 and 20 lbs of vac pressure.

I have one as well and it is doing the same thing, I have replaced plugs/wires, and MAF/MAP sensor. Runs great as long as you are on gas, idle is all over the place, seems as when defroster is on seems to smooth it a little.
