1999 Liftgate Linkage

I recently purchased a 1999 Montana. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix the liftgate linkage? I know that I can fix it from the inside by taking the panel off and getting to the guts from there, but I cannot get the thing to open at all (because of the broken linkage). So I guess I'm looking for a way to access the inside from the outside. At least enough to get the thing opened so I can work on it properly.

I have the exact same problem I cant get the rear door open have you figured any thing out?
