Stall while in reverse...

I notice this problem quite sometime when I allow the car to sit in reverse for awhile (Approx:2 minutes) and it will all of a sudden shut down well stall. So I have to put the car back into park and turn the ignition again to start the car up again. Any word of advice to fix the problem?
