very unwell clio

Please can any member offer any advice , I have an elderly friends Diesel Clio in my workshop , with a broken timing belt,how serious is this to a clio , is it lickley to be the usual bent valves ir are Clios prone to other damage. any thoughts or advice welcome . Thanks Jim
