HELP!! I have a 95 Buick Century. The other day, when driving, I lost many electrical componets:
-headlights
-tail lights
-running lights
-dash board lights
-interior door light
-power door locks
-radio resets after I turn the car off.
power seats.
I do have turn signals and the radio does work.
Another odd thing, the next day, everythings fine for a while, I hit the brakes, and then things electrical go dead.
The next day, I without starting the car, I run the power seats. The lights dim, then no lights, though the engine still starts. But still no lights, ect. Any clue on this? Thanks

Sounds like either a bad battery, dirty/corroded battery cables, or a failing alternator. Have the battery and charging system tested (many auto parts stores offer testing as a free service), and check the cables for corrosion.

Found it! Looking around the battery, the wires going to the first fusible link, (the wires going to the fire wall) , close to the battery, some were melted, dark colored, turned on the lights and the link got hot fast. Pulled it apart and was amazed it worked at all it looked so bad. Gonna change it this weekend.
Thanks.
