95 max - hard start - HELP

:banghead: I have a 95 maxima gxe with 151,000 miles that has a hard start, whether the cars cold or warmed up. I pulled codes and indicated that the front Crankcase Positioning Sensor failed. I replace the sensor and it still starts hard.
Just took it to the dealer, and it was throwing the same code again. Informed them that I just replaced that sensor, so they moved on to diagnose the electrical at the computer. They found nothing.
Now, they say it's my Mass Airflow Sensor, and they want $600 to fix. I can get aftermarket for $220, but I would like to know if anyone has heard of the MAF causing a hard start.
After the car starts, it runs and idles great.
Any help is appreciated.

Shorted MAF can/may also keep from starting altogether. Test-unplugging it will change that issue, will then start in 'safe mode' with 2.2k rpm ceiling.
