The ABS on our 95 drove me nuts. I unplugged the electrical connector under the hood that plugged into the ABS computer. Then I removed the ABS light bulb. That was 3 or 4 years ago. My wife has been very happy with her Blazer ever since.

Sounds like a wheel speed sensor or wheel bearing failing. Jack up the front end and check to see if you have any play in the bearings. Sometimes when the bearing is failing it gets sloppy and opens up the gap between the sensor and tone wheel. The sensor can't see the wheel speed as well, and thinks the wheel is locked up thus kicking in the ABS.

If the bearings are good, find somebody with a scanner that can read data and watch the wheel speeds while slowing down, one of the sensors will drop to 3mph(3mph is the cut off speed for the ABS) before the rest. Thats your failing sensor.

Hope this helped
