Ok, I was imagining a couple of line drawings and stick figures before your pic links loaded. Man, don't be so hard on yourself. They are very good, and look tons better than I could have done at your age! You have some perspective issues to work on, but that comes with PRACTICE. Nobody wakes up one morning and has the ability to do a 'stuff by Alex' drawing. It takes years to learn that.

Welcome to this forum! You will definitely learn a lot! I've learned more here in the past year+ than in all my years drawing. I didn't go to art school either, but consider this forum a 'free' automotive art school! :) You already have an eye for shading/highlights, and you'll learn quickly! Keep drawing and posting your stuff. That's how you learn.

hmm well im also 14 too. I say pretty much keep drawing. Practice makes perfect I suppose.
one thing, have some more self-esteem, it always helps. your cars are pre good too. I'd say to start off with boxes. Also practice using elipses.
your probably better off asking someone more qualified btw. like xspeed, stuff by alex, mycorollas so on and so forth. There all really good at it so ask them.
heres something ive done...

Yeah, next time ask us to help you without the drama. :) So far, it's looking good. You can't get good overnight. It's years and years of practice. Personally for me, it took me 18 years to get where I am today. I never took any classes or academies. Everything I've done up till now is self taught.

Would it make you feel any better if I told you that you were ten years younger than me and as good as me at drawing and better than me at coloring and shading? I feel that you freehand your drawings from reference pics. I bet if you used some ellipses and traced some perspective drawings for a couple of sessions, you'd ace the perspectives and be able to better freehand your rims and tires in a more realistic way. Take a look at some of mine. I don't think they're either better or worse than yours, but I do feel that each artist has his or her on style. Yours can definately be seen in backgrounds and color. *G*

Definitely don't be so hard on yourself. Patience is your best friend when it comes to drawing.

When I was a kid I use to spend entire summers just locked in my room drawing cars and other stuff. I also built car models to help with 3 dimensional views. That and I grew up in a small town and was grounded all the time until I was 18. So I had nothing better to do back then. After highschool I put drawing on the back burner and would only draw when I had nothing better to do. But everytime I went back to it my style would change. I would try different techniques and just learned different ways to execute the same drawing. Now, through all the thousands of crumpled wads of paper I am confident enough to show it off to others and sell my artwork to those that are willing to pay.

I started draw when I was five years old tracing lines around my Hotwheels cars on binder paper.

Be patient my friend. Be patient.

u saying u have come to an :banghead: ? improvement comes periodically (not quite sure if that word exists in english). that means that there always will be an up and down. it also depends on your particular dayconstitution (not sure about that either :) so, if you have the feeling that your standing still, it is probably an indicator of a forthcoming improvement.
keep those ambitions up

God will not help you.

Just practice, like everybody above said, its not so bad. The Gallardo is ok i think. Practice and you'll get good, if thats what you really want.
And its not about drawing cars only, draw everything you see.

Man, trust me when i say this.

I started drawing cars serioulsy when i was 13, and was no where near as goos as that. Man, you are excellent for your age, and there is nothing wrong with your drawings. I design my own custom cars, and my work has improved so much since ive been here on automotive forums, that my art teacher says that the perspecative is perfect. In fact, ill show you one of my art projects. by joining here, you have basically signed up to work beside and be taught by the best.

Keep a look out for my work, and i shall post my art project soon.

Although i wouldnt say so, i have been called an (expert) but... nah.

-chris- Age 15...

EDIT: heres my latest work... id say 1.5 years here and you could be at this stage.

Thanks for the tips guys
the thing that made me freak out was the jaguar drawn by a 14 yo
how can someone even have enough practice time throughout their developed brain period to draw something like that.
you sir, are a genius, i am sooo impressed
can you make a tutorial or something?
or some tips for me

I will be drawing more carz and posting them here
I have been working on a concept car(for like 6 months now) in diffrent variations, but it needs LOTS of work!!

i will post it as soon as im done
i am now "officialy" going to be a poster here:grinno:
Cheers Aryanenzo:smokin:

That's nice. Like everybody says, keep practicing. like sketches_of_b said, I was also expecting something very basic, but your angles are really nice and shading is nice. Keep practicing like we all did. Don't stop and try different things. You'll learn on your own and you'll never know !! :)
So, keep up the good work and don't underestimate yourself.

Show everything.
Throwing things away is the worst thing a designer of any sort can do.
Draw, refine, re-draw.

Aryanenzo

Did i ever tell you i kept every drawing i drew since 2005....
By throwing it away, i mean that it just dosent work, it just wont, and im ditching it in "the pile of crap" folder.
i havent thrown it away yet, im going to go back to it.
right now, im just staring at my psp screen, looking at pics of cars and just drawing what i see, which dosent realy take skills and the cars look EXACTlY like they did on the pic.
im just doing this to practice prespective
I NEVER GET RID OF MY DRAWINGS
someday i will look back and laugh at my noobish art:banghead:!!!

i didn't mean literally throw away.

Too often, people draw something that is too difficult for them, they then stop that drawing, discard it and draw something that they know they can draw. In that respect, they don't ever really push themselves to get that first thing done properly. Don't stop doing that drawing/design because you draw it properly; go and learn how to to draw it properly.

Oh ok..
by the way those are some nice carz
the cadillacs are Extremly good but the corvette's front end could have used some work.
The Concept Proto design is undergoing some changes.
It will be unveiled shortly, sometime tommorow(MAYBE)
My main problem that i recognize is the size of paper i use which is the standard printer paper, its sooo small and i cant put much detail into the caRz.
i have larger paper but it wont fit on the scanner and my camera Sucks sooo bad!!!!(the web cam is better)
