mufflers right after cats

im thinking of getting a flowmaster put directly after each cat and getting side exits. what are yall's opinions? (i want the truck as loud and deep as possible)

Go without the muffler.. you will get that nice deep throating sound and will cost you less than putting a muffler on. I have mine comming out the passenger side before the tire.

so i hate to bring this up- AGAIN, but so long as i go with small pipes, i won't have to worry about losing torque? what size pipe should i go with? i have a flowmaster 40 dumped in stock location already.... dont want to lose ANY torque, just want more sound...

the exiting pipe from the muffler is not going to make you loose Tq no matter how big the pipe is. But for looks I would not go any smaller than 3".
But if you are going to replace the pipe from the cat you can go about 2.5 - 3" and be safe.
