Which oxygen sensor is bad?

I got a read out that the bank 1 sensor 1 is faulty. My service manual does not specify which exhaust is bank 1 or bank 2 and which sensor is 1 or 2. If I had to guess, I would say that bank 1 is on the drivers side and sensor 1 is the forward oxygen sensor. Does anyone know for sure.
