and instead of rally version I'm going for the drift scene...

I dont have much free time, so be patient..

painted the wheels gold:

http://lh6.google.com/zervosst/RvjKovkTDaI/AAAAAAAAAOQ/sed-14RSL4g/s800/P1014367.JPG

put together the engine, and painted it (but it turned out too shiny:banghead: ):

http://lh5.google.com/zervosst/RvjKqfkTDbI/AAAAAAAAAOY/QPq65JQDObM/s800/P1014368.JPG

second hand painted the body:

http://lh5.google.com/zervosst/RvjKrfkTDcI/AAAAAAAAAOg/0dHEfzlkjTM/s800/P1014372.JPG

test fitting wheels and hood:

http://lh4.google.com/zervosst/RvjKtPkTDeI/AAAAAAAAAO0/d_YGJD8NNPY/s800/P1014374.JPG

http://lh5.google.com/zervosst/RvjKufkTDfI/AAAAAAAAAO8/QjL0rYWovVU/s800/P1014375.JPG

what do you think?????

test fitting the engine:

http://lh5.google.com/zervosst/RvjKvfkTDgI/AAAAAAAAAPE/o7u-FWTYntQ/s800/P1014377.JPG

painted the engine (again):

http://lh3.google.com/zervosst/RvjK5_kTDmI/AAAAAAAAAP0/tiB7eAxnnnU/s800/P1014396.JPG

painted wheel bolts:

http://lh5.google.com/zervosst/RvjKzfkTDiI/AAAAAAAAAPU/0Fm4wpxBRlo/s800/P1014380.JPG

I tried to glue some soark plugs... but it ended up a disaster..
I glued them on, with cyanacrylic cement, and sfter a while they went off (!!!)
I guess I shouldn't glue them on top of the paint.. RIGHT???

SOME HELP HERE PLEASE :banghead:

should I scratch the paint and glue them on the plastic???

http://lh6.google.com/zervosst/RvjK7vkTDnI/AAAAAAAAAP8/P1FhTSObBT0/s800/P1014397.JPG

(what material do you use for cables??? -these are real (very thin) cables..)

I also sprayed another coat of white on the body (but I screwed this one also!!) I sprayed too much paint.........

http://lh3.google.com/zervosst/RvliDvkTE7I/AAAAAAAAAck/3zjgmKC37g4/s800/P1014439.JPG

now I have to sand it and paint it again........:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Didn't you use primer ?? :screwy: :dunno:
that could be the answer to your paint problem, because paint will easyly cover primer than plastic and putty.

no, I didnt, and I think youre absolutely right..
can I use primer now??
(if I sand it first...):frown:

Well, I sanded off the paint and sprayed the boby with primer.

http://lh3.ggpht.com/zervosst/SMo8pnT-9hI/AAAAAAAABRg/bBy4WHYeW9s/s800/P1015726.JPG

Then I painted it white.

http://lh4.ggpht.com/zervosst/SMo8sKZ9FOI/AAAAAAAABRo/m_ilDmV-u6I/s800/P1016264.JPG

I also painted the interior white.

This is a drift version and is going to be "used" with scratches, dirt, and stuff.
Maybe I will also use it in a diorama!
Here are some exterior progress pics.

what material do you use for cables??? -these are real (very thin) cables..
depending on diameter i use either cables , or just copper wires (from the inside of cables)

Take a look at my Lancer interior:
http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/7694/lancer02cn7.jpg
"safety foams" are made from cable insulation, and are mounted with one of wires from inside of cable
also the e-brake hose is made of cable insulation (but not cutted along, just took the wires out from inside)

I also painted the interior white.
You should have masked those door panels out to paint them black or sth dark - they don't look good in white.
