90 Ranger

i want to swap out my 2.9 to 3.8 or4.0 the thing i need to know is if the bolt pattern on the 3.8 which is a 94 will bolt to my tranny. i figured that the motor mounts and what not will have to be refabbed but that is not the issue just the bolt patern one motor is out of a 94 cougar and another ranger

it would be easier to do the 4.0 then the 3.8 mainly because the 4.0 was designed for the rangers and explorers. below are links for just those swaps
