it was an option. You could pay a little more and get the motorized antenna if you wanted it when you ordered the car.

How hard is it to put a power antenna in if you have a regular one? I hate the way mine looks sticking out all weird.

It might depend on the year of the car. On my 91 i have to take off the whole right fender panel.
