You have seen my posts in four other threads including Why Won't My 97 Cirrus Start? and 95 Cirrus Engine Kill Problem, about my 20,000-mile 1995.
After many months and a couple thousand miles it was still stalling intermittently at idle, then displayed "check engine" and began to refuse to start or keep running.
My independent guy diagnosed it as "Needs a new computer".
I drove it to the dealer and signed up for their $98 diagnosis. When they came up with faulty computer I showed them my 11-month-old invoices for the computer and their previous diagnosis and programming.
They replaced and programmed the computer and gave me another 12-month warranty all at no charge, not even the initial diagnosis! And it runs fantastically well.
While I'll never spend $1000+ for a distributor, I'm feeling better about the dealer.
