I have a 1995 Geo Metro without A/C Would my car be pre wired for A/C
how difficult would it be to take the parts from a donar car to install in mine?

Depends how factory you want the install to be. If you want it exactly the way the factory would have done it - it'll be a down right pain in the ass.

To make things more simple from a wiring point of view all I'd do is run a fused 12v circuit through the hi/low pressure switch and to a switch in the dash and then to the compressor, by-passing the ECM controlled idle-up function making things much more simple, but you may have to switch 'er off at stop lights. Mounting the compressor wont be a big deal. The biggest challenge however may be mounting the evaporator and evaporator box in the cabin. I do know that the evaporator is located between the fan and the heater core but I can't clearly visualize the differences between the a/c and non-a/c cars at the moment, so I'll have a look Monday and tell you how it looks. All-in-all it really souldnt be that bad if you ignore the factory wiring.

So you're saying the relays and fuses for the condenser fan and a/c clutch, wires to and from the ecm, idle up solenoid and included wiring, a/c on/off switch and all associated wiring are already in the car that didn't come with a/c from the factory huh? News to me.

So, I did some homework.

First to begin, to address the pre-wired issue. I've taken pictures from two identical 1994 Geo Metro 3cyl 5-spds. One factory optioned with A/C and one factory optioned without A/C. While your '95 system will be different, the comparison is relevant.

The wire pictured above does not exist on the non-A/C optioned car.

This picture and the one below show the presence and absense of the Evaporator enclosure. Notice the A/C Amplifier and wiring, which are not present on the car below that control A/C operation via the idle-up solenoid, a/c on-off switch, dual pressure switch etc..etc.. The good news is that it looks like installing the evaporator will not be as big an issue as I originally thought. You just remove the large plastic tube between the fan and heater core box shown below with the evaporator enclosure as shown above.

So things you need to pull from a donor car:

a) Compressor, bracket and lines
b) Condenser and fan
c) Evaporator enclosure

The wiring as I said before will be much more simple if you install a switch for the clutch and a switch for the fan.

But better yet would be a switch that controls a relay that has one control circuit and can power two slave circuits. Enabling you to turn both the condenser fan and compressor clutch on with the simple flipping of a switch. With proper circuit protection that would be an easy and clean way to by-pass the crazy factory wiring.
