It's been a while since I've built a bike.... a couple of weeks at least. :p
I picked out this older kit which will be a box stock build. Word of advice though... be careful with the exhaust cans... I managed to break one of mine in two places. Nothing that can't be fixed, but my kit seem very brittle.
The engine was a lot of custom color mixing. It shows in general with many of these older kits where you're asked to mix a color that became a premixed color years later. An example is X-11 + X-12 which is X-31

The frame was painted TS-30 from the can.

Next couple of pictures are just little bits and pieces. I also drilled out the rotor. Remember doing it by hand when I built the Repsol version, I put a #78 drill bit in my power drill and went to work.... much, much easier.

I used TS-17 for the panels which are now ready for decals.

Interesting ... Is there a list of the combinations that are now premixed? Maybe theres not that many, but it would be useful.
Nice bike! Do you have a WIP of your Repsol 250? My wife is working on one right now.

Great build as usual Ole, but aren´t the Cup Noodle Honda cowlings supposed to be golden instead of TS17 Silver?

Thanks Joel.... Bike #3 was gold and #13 was silver. The Tamiya kit include both options. I built this one with two other modelers and they both went for the gold version, so I wanted to stand out.
Tamiya's latest bike is another version of this one. Kit 14110.

Aha, that sort my thoughts out. I've only seen the box and remember it was golden. I like the this sort of separation in between the bikes of a team. 250 was ahead of their time compared to 500/GP.
Thanks again.
Joel
Thanks again.

The two riders on that team, were brothers. Of that I am sure. But I think they only did one race together. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
