Is it true that a 347 stroker will only last a couple thousand km's until it starts burning oil due to engine geometry and deck height, or is it a reliable stroke. :dunno:

People run 347's all the time on the street or track. The problem is that with the 3.4" stroke on a 8.2" block requires a different rod that places the wrist pin higher in the piston. Therefore the piston is shorter and the oil ring actually overlaps the wrist pin. For a while there was some trouble with this combo, but new tech and a revised piston has corrected the problem.
