Passenger Front...the wheel has a small amount of play in it when moving it from side to side. I did not feel any play up and down but I did not want to put my hand under the wheel as I was only using a jack.
Could this be an outer tie rod, hub, ball joint...any thoughts?...(have been trying to track down a slight vibration).

Do what is called a dry park test. With the car on the ground, have someone move the steering wheel back and forth and watch the tie rod end for any play.

Mechanic today said it was the outer tie rod...will follow-up on this this.
I'm wondering if this "play" could contribute to a slight pulsing felt in the tire and steering wheel when taking a left turn at slower speeds...like turning a corner after being stopped. Mechanic did not think so, thought it might be an axle but was not bad enough to worry about yet.
I will probably follow up with an outer tie rod on the right (left outer was done recently) and have the alignment checked.
