COMPLETE: Customer's B4C Camaro

Not much of a WIP on this, it's a bone stock box-stock build. "B4C" is the RPO code for police package on the GM F-bodies. It basically takes a stock V6 Camaro, adds the Z28 drivetrain (so, no Z28 badges), and many heavy duty suspension goodies like springs, shocks, sway bars, etc... Of course all of these changes aren't really noticeable on the model, so it ended up stock. Hard to see in the pic, but the gauges and HVAC were detailed with art pencils as usual.

I was anxious to take pics of the nice shiny black paint, so I did these photos before I put the side-view mirrors on. :p I'll add those in a bit, as well as a custom license plate for the customer, and she's done.

No silver on the body? Did your customer spill a can of black paint on his car or something? :)

I's a police car without the stickers, so no crome, or badging other than the chevy emblem and the little badge on the front bumper cover. I've seen a few of these here in Oklahoma.

nice build John, I like it a lot. Kind of like a modern COPO Camaro, huh? you should put a light wash on the wheels around the lugs, or maybe a dull coat to knock down the plasticky look of that chrome.

What he said. And, when he bought it, it had Arizona State Trooper markings (including gold doors) which he had painted.

You forget, these cars did not have any chrome to begin with. You would have to go back to the mid seventies to find a camaro with chrome.

Nice build! How was the fitting of this kit? I want to build a Replica of my Z28/SS but i have heard the 2002 ss is rubbish..

Yes, I know, they were added later. I often forget them before I take photos. :p

The fit on the front and rear fascias is crap. The rest of the model goes together pretty well. I STRONGLY recommend you fit the nose piece to the body before you do any body work or assembly--trying to glue it on after the car is painted is a NIGHTMARE. The rear isn't much better, but at least it can be lined up without making a mess. Don't let that turn you off the kit though, other than that it goes together nicely. Looking at your pics, you'll also need the fuel rail covers from a Corvette kit, as well as late C4/early C5 wheels (or actually, I think those might come in the Revell '98 Camaro kit, I forget.) That exhaust is gonna have to be scratch built. Badass car, btw.

Thanks for the help! I al ready got the fuel rail covers ;) But it's mutch more scratch building than just the exhaust.. many pieces in the engine bay has to be made from scratch but thats a smaler problem.. now i has to get my hands on a 35th camaro ss 2 in 1;)
