2006 2.0L engine vs old 2.0L

Are they the same block?
Whould i be able to use an after market altinator made for the OLD 2.0L motor on my 2006 focus?(will it bolt in).

NO. The mounting holes are different and the integral voltage regulator will not work the the electronical aspects of your electrical system. They are 2 completely different units.

Thats what i thought. I was hoping it would fit cuz the stock alt dose not put out enuff amps for me. :banghead:

i cant seem to find any after market alt for this car exept the powermaster one that i cant seem to get (been on back order for 3 months now).
if any one knows where i can get an high output alt(150+amps) pleeeeeeez let me know.:uhoh:
