front breaks screwed?

Today i went to replace my front pads no big thing right...
wrong, it turns out that the place where it screws onto is stripped
does anyone know if just rethreading them would work or is that out and i have to buy a whole knew peice that i cant find anywhere on the internet:banghead:

Helicoil often sells kits to repair such threads without replacing the casting.
