Factory Service Manual set

FYI for the DIY crowd. I should be receiving a set of factory service manuals (except for the automatic tranny, as I don't intend to touch it myself) for my '02 WRX in a few days. I'd be glad to share any specific info you need to get a hold of for repairs or upgrades.

I'm holding off on buying speakers myself until I know what dimensions will fit in front and back.

Feel free to post your question here or PM me.

EDIT:
Website hosting the manuals in PDF http://www.ken-gilbert.com/wrx/impreza_manuals.htm

Enjoy!

If you want to know what speakers will fit your car, go in Crutchfield.com and look it up by vehicle. Crutchfield will also tell you if you need any mounting kits to install the speakers over the crappy factory ones.

I have the full factory service manuals for the '06 Impreza, both transmissions in pdf format.

Yeah, for some reason the last time I was on the Crutchfield site I didn't see the sizes mentioned. Here it is:

Factory replacement info:

In-dash stereo
8-9/16" depth; Size code DD,I

Front speakers
Front Door : 5-1/4"

Rear speakers
Rear Door : 4"

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like crutchfield carries any 5.25" speakers (at least ones that would fit)

But I've had really good luck with selection and prices here: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/

I put 6.5" speakers in my WRX using the Crutchfield adaptor kit.

Did you do the install yourself or take it somewhere? 6.5" would certainly open up the options on speakers more. So far I'm looking at some 5.25" 4-way sony's for the front and 4" 3-way kenwoods in the rear. Did you do 6.5" all the way around? Can you provide some links to the products you used?

Thanks

I missed responding to your second question to me - I did the install myself, it's really not difficult at all.
