I was thinking about placing a air intake into my 00' GP SE w/ 120734kms. Since, i recently installed a Air filter into the car, but I tried tightening the rubber fastener that's connected to the air filter box to the tube, but it is still lose. So I was thinking about just installing an air intake to get away from the box. Should I or should I not?

Why not!!!
Not expensive and will allow the car to breathe better for slightly improved performance. May save on gas too!

Thanks GTP Dad, but I want to know the necessary steps or cautions to take before I install one. Also, whats the best name brand out for as Air intake?

there's really no risks involved in putting in an intake.. itll get you a little more power, not much, but it got me 2 more miles per gallon, so i think its definately worth it.. i would suggest a k&n.

An intake is one of the simplest mods you can do, but also one thats is good for your car. But a lot of people fall into the trap of putting on a "cold air intake" when really you are only putting a cone filter and L shaped tube on your throttle body. Your essentially doing the same as your OEM filter...just making it look cleaner...but sucking in hot air. IF your not looking for a CAI then forget the above. But if your gunna put an intake one might as well get the most out of it.. just my opinion, if you do...
Make sure you get an intake that is sealed from the heat of the engine bay. I know wizair makes a great one for the GTP's, as does SLP, Thrasher, and Motorsports Performance. But again this fits GTP...not for sure if they fit non sc prixs.
if you want I can give you some links to some good grand prix sites
Good luck
