'96 1500 started slipping 2 to 3 shift....

a neighbor of mine has a '96 1500 and it started slipping 2 to 3 gear shift all of a sudden.you could let off the gas pedal and it would shift. come to find out he had somthing get ahold of the sensor wire on reaend and pulled the wires out of his rear speed sensor i guess enough to break the wires but not the insulation on the outside this was right out of the sensor. like to have never found it. last thing i checked and blew my mind how come the outer insulation held when it pulled the wire 1/2 " apart .dealer has to order the sensor as i guess it is a part they don't sell much so they don't keep it in stock.
