ok, so i just ordered a Complete JDM swap, going from a 93 6g72TT w/ 5 speed, to a 94 6g72TT w/ 6 speed. am i supposed to use the Japan ECU or My ECU? i kno Japan has diff Emissions and EGR, or w/e so which would be better? also, is there anything i need to change to use the 6 speed over the 5 speed?

wow.. ok... do a little searching you will find a lot of info.. ECU wont matter but you can sell the JDM one for more probably on 3SI cause they use it in a SL-TT swap and it doesnt throw a CEL... anyways as far as gearing goes it depends on what tranny your going with.. I suggest searching.. there are differant combos like the 5speed US rear diff with the JDM MR 6 speed tranny and Tcase..

basicly and I am sure you understand that an AWD car has to have the wheels turning the exact same amount in the front and the rear.. so your rear end needs to matche the tranny.. so if you swaped out the us 6 speed and put it in your car you would have to do the us 6 speed rear diff.. if you used the jdm 6 spd tranny (I think its the mr tranny?? tallskinyguy knows) you can use the 5 spd us rear diff.. but you can not use the us 6 spd rear diff.. does that make sense? its all in the gearing

ok gotcha... so, assuming that its the MR tranny, i should be good?
also, so what is the actual difference between the JDM ECU and the Normal ECU?
