Ok so I want to put a brick on the gas pedal and watch this car drive off a cliff. The past few weeks I have been having problems starting my car. As I keep trying to start it, the ignition still turns over at the same rate but it just doesn't have that extra little umph to get it started. Had the battery checked and it's perfect. When I turn the key on the accessory, the voltage only goes up to about 9-10 (top range of the yellow on my gauge). It usually starts from there and has no problem but sometimes it will not want to get that extra umph again but simply holding the key to start it forces it to eventually start.

So this afternoon i was stopped at a red light and the car dies. I immediately looked at the oil pressure gauge b/c it has been funky and varying a lot lately (did replace oil pressure sensor last year) and it was at 0. I can't remember if i still had rpms (I was flustered) but I remember feeling the engine shut off before seeing the gauge drop. The radio remained on. So I got it to start just fine after that and the oil pressure gauge went up. Oil level is fine, no overheating, oil gauge acted "normal" on the drive home-- it drove as if nothing happened. I'm in med school and don't have time to deal with this, as well as no tools or anyone to fix my car for me so I am stuck bringing it to a garage :( I was just wondering if anyone had some simple fixes that I could try. post or aim me @ LE123456712 I need to fix this FAST or if anyone is in the KC, MO area and could tell me some legit garages please let me know

Maybe the fuel pump or something in the fuel delivery system that is blocking fuel flow.

Maybe the computer has a virus...j/k.

I think it's spark/electrical related.... replaces coils, module below coils, plugs and spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, MAF sensor, EGR in last 5-6 years.... anyone have any votes for CAM or crank sensor? And has anyone changed these??? Easy? Pain in the ass??

I replaced the MAF, but with a used one.... so it could be the culprit... is there any diagnostic test to see if this is the problem? The weird thing is that when it wouldn't start, if I jump started it the car would start perfect. This indicates battery, but when it died there was more than enough voltage to keep it running and when it died today it started right up again.
