Dude,
I am doing the same next summer. Lots of threads around here have been discussing about the GReddy EVO. I am convinced it's the product to go, specially when it is designed for the G20.
My advice is to keep reading these threads and believe me, you will find interesting conversation. I take it as an education forum. Thanks to all the experts out there....cheers to you guys all......

Greddy makes the only cat-back exhaust for 99+ G20's. Any way else, it will have to be custom done. Custom means more money. Greddy is a very high quality exhaust. Not too loud from what I heard. get it. he he

I think 5zigen makes a Fireball exhaust for the P11 too. But from what Luke tells me it's LOUD.

did not know that. They way it looks....does seem it would be a high pitched noise. Can't do that with a G20. A civic can get away with that.:bandit: :smoka: :smoker: :smoker2:

Custom means more money.
Even though it is a crush-bend custom job, my whole P10 custom 2.25" cat-back, Thrush glasspack(resonator) to Borla Turbo was only $260 installed. The piping is stainless and is guaranteed for over 15 years, the Borla is stainless and warrantied for a million miles and the Thrush was only $15 and can be replaced if it goes bad. I had flanges welded to both ends of it for easy removal.
I would venture to say that if you were to have mandrel bends done, add maybe $75-$100 to that and you are still paying less then prefabricated cat-back set-ups. And you get what you want.
You do have to do more research with a custom exhaust with reference to sound levels, look, quality, etc. But in the long run, it was way cheaper for me to do a custom set up than it was for me to buy a $400-$500 cat-back Greddy or rear section Remus. AND I don't have to have IMO a big ass polished coffee can exiting the rear of my car. I have a stock looking angle cut 2.25" tip coming out of the rear which is pleasing to the eyes.
And it sounds great! Not too loud, no raspy bumble bee buzz, smooth. Now if I could do some Dyno's then I could see what HP improvements I gained, if any.
just my thoughts!

Well maybe exhaust can be custom done w/o spending big bread. But on the other hand you try other sh*t like aero components (body kits) you end up spending dat big bread. I guess you just gotta decide
when and what should be custom done and it can work out right fuh ya.
Custom also wins shows, too. he he he eheeehehheheheheeheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. booooooooheeeeeeeheheheh.

Mandrel bending if you can even find anyone who does it would be way more then 100, Theres one place were i live who does it its 35 bucks a bend, and if i rember correctly there are 5 bends and one hump to clear your rear axle so around 210 just for the bends. Plus all the other stuff and besides the greddy are cermaic coated big plus and bolts right up it toke me 30 min to drop my old exhaust and get my new one on. Its a little pricey but well worth the money really good sound to.

Well, let's look at it this way:
$89 - Borla 2.25" Turbo shipped to my door
$15 - Thrush glasspack from Jegs Performance Shop
$7 - Cheap ass stainless tip from Advance Auto Parts
AND
$150 - custom crush bends from shop in Zanesville, OH
-------------
$260 - Approx. total for all parts and installation
Now I stated:
that if you were to have mandrel bends done, add maybe $75-$100 to that
So if you were to add $75-$100, total would be approx. $225 to $250 for labor and parts, NOT including muffler, tip, and glasspack.
I did a lot of searching on custom mandrel and found that you can buy prefab stainless mandrel bends for $15 to $25 depending on length and degree of bend. The shop was going to cut them to the correct length and weld them to straight stainless piping. And Voila'. A custom mandrel bent cat-back exhaust for approx. $335 to $360. But, I decided to cut costs and save a bit with the crush bends.
How much was the Greddy cat-back?
So I think I was approximating the cost pretty good when I said to add another $75-$100 to that $260 that I paid. And the guy did a fantastic job on my crush bend. He took his time to make it a precise and clean install. I was amazed at how well it turned out, even with the crush bends. He used the largest possible bend casts to keep the crush to a minimum. Thanks ROD!

That is not the same as:
if you going to spend nere 400 bucks throw down the extra and get the best you can
I'd say it's 'bout $140 less than $400 and 'bout $280 less than your Greddy. And IMO 1 million mile Borla mufflers and 15+ year guarantee stainless piping is the best.
:lol2:
If I get the time, I'll take some pics and I'll show that ALL the factory hangers are being used, the exhaust is as factory looking as you can get AND there is even a flange welded in the rear section exactly where the factory rear section flange was.
and i dont have to worry if some muffler shop is going to screw up my shit
That is why I spent the time searching all avenues available and saw the shops exceptional work before I handed over the keys to my car.
Just because it costs more than others dosn't always mean it's the best money can buy.
And like I said, I would love to get my car dynoed to see what types of HP increases I gained, if any. Maybe I will with the extra $280 I saved having the custom exhaust made, I should be able to get a few runs in.

that i really dont belive since my factory exhaust wasnt crush bent. I would have kept my factory piping and just changed my muffler instead of going with cheap crush bent pipin. I mean if you cant afford greddy stuff its okay but all i know is the setup is sweet if never seen a muffler shop do a job close to as good looking as this and my friends dad ownes one and does some of the best work ive seen and even he said you couldnt match that kind of work but think want you want because i know i will:flipa:

Hey Sleepy!
First off. I don't have a problem, I have an opinion. Just like everyone else.
Second off. If you would use proper punctuation when you post, like using a period every once in a while and maybe capitalization, maybe just maybe I would have understood that you were talking about $400 for a mandrel bent exhaust and not the $260 I spent on crush bends.
Third. Am I missing something? Did Nissan/Infiniti offer a mandrel bent exhaust on the P11? That is news to me. I sure as hell know they didn't have mandrel bends on the P10. That's a fact!
Fourth. Too bad your friends dad can not provide quality work that is better than a mass produced, highly priced exhaust. A custom exhaust shop, (a good custom exhaust shop) should be able to fabricate quality the same if not better than a mass produced exhaust, if they take the time and energy to do it right. Let me repeat that, 'should be able to...the same if not better'. You have to feel confident that the shop you choose can do quality work, uses thick quality stainless piping and does not hack up your car under carriage or exhaust.
NOTE: I have nothing against the Greddy. I just wanted something different that can't be seen from 10 miles away sticking out of the rear of my car glistening in the sunlight. And I wanted it done my way. Not your way, Greddy's way, or anyone else's way. Just my way.
With that said, I am done with this post! Moving on.
