Would polishing Testors Jade Green Metal Flake paint make it permanently dull or something like that? It's an enamel paint #1630 if this helps any. Thanks ahead of time.

Never used Testors paint, but I always clear coat metal flakes, pearls and metallics before I polish them...

I figured I shouldnt polish the bare paint first. Thanks for the help.

I agree on the clear coat comment. Also, you will want to wait a long time to polish out testors enamels, as they take a million billion years to cure (maybe a slight exaguration). Also, I would only use tamiya modeling compound and a polish safe for enamels (like the treatment) when rubbing it out. I tried Meguires on a Chevelle I did and it was never the same. :-(

Testors jade green will polish out, but you better wait at least 2 weeks at the minimum, otherwise it will haze and not be fixable.
