I have owned two Pontiac GTP's in the past 1999 and 2001. I am considering a 2000 GTP with approx 104,000 miles on it. Any major issues to consider b4 making this purchase? Specifically what major service will be needed or any major failures to consider?

I have a 00' GTP, 29000 miles. The only problem I had so far is with my climate control which im still working on. Besides that it has been a good car. 16mpg city, 32 highway. It does require 91 or more Octane. Front brakes wear fast.

Ive heard in some cases the boost gauge in the center console is faulty. check to see your getting full boost. Other than that ide change oil(charger and engine) and would hurt to change the tranny fluid. I wouldnt flush it however. Some have had problems after a full flush also? just my opinion but I wont flush a tranny unless its really needed.

i own a 2000 GTP. ive had it for about 10k miles bough it with 94k now has 104k. so far ive basicaly changed every fluid, did a fulll tune up

mechnicaly, i had to replace the AC compressor bearing and clutch, alternator, front valve cover gasket, and front brakes

DO NOT FLUCH the trans if the fluid looks really dirty. on my last GTP with 125k i flushed it and i completely ruined my transmission. so do a drain, filter and fill.
