Another Porsche GT is here in this forum. My latest build and i would gladly appreciate comments.
As i was really rushing this model for the modelling competition held in Singapore by Tamiya, i didnt have enuff time for WIP pics. Basically, the whole kit is fully carbon fibred and i used some of the studio 27 photoetched parts, excluding the mesh for the hood becos it is rubbish imo. Instead i used eduard's mesh for the hood. Its really good. Brake disk are painted with XF56 before using a special powder from WORK to gif it a carbon ceramic look. Enough of saying, here are the pics...

Beautiful work.Inspired colour choice on the seats. They compliment the body colour so well. The carbon fibre work looks very nice too.Which red did you use on the seats?

Fantastically clean, I am amazed with that Carrera GT script on the rear, is it metal transfer, if yes who's it is?

The script is the original tamiya metal transfer given in the kit. The car plate is from studio 27. :)

Great build. Nice and clean. The mesh looks great. I haven't built mine, but I wonder how Acu-Stion's mesh fits.

Im not too sure about acustion mesh but i tink eduard mesh is relatively cheaper than acustion because eduard give a larger piece of mesh. But nonetheless, eduard mesh is really good.

Your build makes me want to go ahead and buy the Carrera GT that I've been wanting to get (too bad they are somewhat expensive)

Hi thanks! I used the clear plastic mold given by Tamiya as the 'cast'. Then i bent the eduard hexagonal mesh over the top of the mold. The secret lies with the mesh, its very bendable n soft unlike the one given by studio27. Its relatively easy to accomplish this using this mesh and im not too sure about other manufacturers. This is the back view picture with mesh hood. thanks :)
