Torque converter going out on ya? :dunno:
If it was the IAC then it would only be at an idle or when you let off the throttle that it would bounce around.

u know what, i never had that go out on me yet, so maybe..... i wouldnt know how it acts when it goes bad. i would rather have that gone than the tranny.... i still have my stock one laying around. i gave my tranny guy a call so i have to wait till he calls back. if anyone else has any ideas i am open to them...thanks blackcrow

If a transmission shelled out on you NEVER reuse the torque converter, you'll probably trash another transmission and loose the converter.
If the converter was changed with the transmission then I'd say it is either defective or it is going in and out of lockup and that is either PCM or bad converter.

its a new converter, vigalanti... thats crazy though. but it could be the converter because it only does it when its in the lockup zone..and it seems to lock then come out and rev a bit high...its crazy as hell..but i hope to find out today

Sounds more like a misfire to me, I had the SAME EXACT problem and it ended up being the coolant temperature sensor (the one for the ECU, not the one for the gauges) causing a misfire. When I was driving, I could have sworn it was the tranny. Because every time it would shift into OD, it would randomly kick up the RPM's and felt like it shifted back into 4th. Is your SES light coming on at all during this? Mine wouldn't "flash" as most describe, it would come on for a minute, then go off, and come on again.

Well DJ... I told you not to run with those crowds and you won't have problems with Trannies. LMAO, slap her/him/it silly and be on your way.
EDIT - And whatever you do, don't kiss one... I'll never be able to look at you the same way again.
