This is my latest build.
-It was not an extremly hard kit but it ended up looking very nice in my opinion.
-The only thing that the kit needed was hood pins...so i added some!
-The paint is a Metallic Burnt Orange with Black accents.
(the color is actually a little darker then the pictures show)
V--This is what i was shooting for with the paint.--V

...the color isn't a perfect match but i did my best.

ahhhgh, AMT should have beeh shot when they made that kit. Though it appears you did a fine job with it, the body is so disproportionate, and cartoony, it hurts my eyes to look at it.
you did do a great job though, all the panels appear to be painted, and fit nicely. what about the engine?

Wow, nicely done. maybe in better lighting the paint would look more like the first pic. But great job!

Here are some pics of her in different light...it does better justice to the color.

...and here is the engine and under body that were asked for. The engin isn't great on this car...its pretty simple but its clean. (the muffler and tips are missing on underside...i was doing some work on them when pics were taken)

Thanks for showing off the under pinnings and motor, I have now decided to get this kit, and another tamiya kit so I can build a full detail fairlady. Probably just use the AMT body, Tamiya roof and chassis, with the suspension, and what not stolen from the AMT kit.
again, you did a GREAT job on this kit.

i was thinking of doing that too cutting the amt up and using it on the tamiya version

yeah...sorry it took so long for the rest of the pics....i got a little lazy i guess.
....and i actually thought of doing a "hybrid" kit of the two but i had two problems... money and time, which affects every modeler at some point.
I'll keep an eye out in the WIP for that build though, i'de like to see how you go about getting that together...haha
...and good luck!
