There are some fairly well cultured and educated people here so does anyone have a copy of Isac Asimovs book; Foundation and Empire??

Its the 2nd part of the Foundation series, and the only one Im missing! :(

Iv had a copy of Foundations Edge, and Prelude to Foundation for some time, and just today found a HUGE collection of his work at a 2nd hand book shop, but they didnt have F & Empire, and with the amount Im reading at the moment I should be through Foundation in less than a week.

Oh I can find a new one with out much trouble, there are plenty of book stores here who can order it for me.

Im actualy after a 2nd hand copy, just wondered if some had an old one they might want to lend me, or sell me for a few $ :)

I new one would look out of place with the rest of the collection. :alien:

Yay! another fan!

Iv read cave's of steel, as well as Prelude to Foundation, which altough one of the last books written, according to Asimov's introduction in the book can be safely read first.

Iv also read Martian way, Nightfall and The complete Stories which all contian short stories, many of them related to the foundation and Robot series.

and thanks for the offer, I would love to read it in another language, but I have enough trouble with my native english. :D :D

I got the whole series about twenty years ago. I'm sure I have them boxed up someplace, but I have a feeling it would be cheaper to get a used on then the shipping from the other side of the planet. :)

Awesome awesome series of books! Read them sooo many times I've lost count. Along with a heap of other Asimov - that's my favourite kind of SF. His mysteries are all really really clever too.

I've never heard of the guy, nor the series, but I enjoyed interpreting this abbreviation as "F'in Empire"... sorry, but I had to say it.

yeah - they're all short stories (at least the ones I've read), and of course still scifi. Just sooo clever, and really elegant solutions. I love them.
