325i question. please help

ok, i got a 89 325i that i just had a fuel pump go bad in it. i fixed that and it ran good for a bout a day and a half then when i was driving it just quit running like it wasn't getting any gas. went over alot of crap and the only thing i can think of is that there is maybe a sensor or something going bad. idk much about these new fangled bmws so i thought id ask. hopefully it is just a simple common problem. any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.
