1995 fan, lights, and fuel problems

I have a couple of problems with my "blessed" 1995 aurora. The dash lights and outside lights will come on and flash (as if I were in a star trek ship) for no reason. It seems like it is more when it is hot out. It has allready done it at night when the car was parked in the yard and hadn't been driven. What could cause the lights to come on by themself and go wacky? They don't just flash off and on, they jump from one light to another. One headlight flashes, then the other, and so forth throughout the car. Also the cooling fans won't run. What would be the first thing to check or replace? I could drive it as long as I didn't sit at an idle or use the AC or it would run hot. The third problem has recently kept it parked in my driveway. While on the road (after driving about 45 min.), it stalled out when accelerating after a stop. It acted like it was flooded but wouldn't start. I had it towed home and have been able to get it running but not stay running. If I give it any gas it immediately dies. I don't want to spend 4-5 hundred dollars on a fuel pump if that is not the problem. I checked the fuel filter and it is okay. What is the fuel pressure regulator and could it possibly be the problem? How expensive are fuel pressure guages? Also the fuel guage is not accurate. I had it worked on and they replaced something in the gas tank, but it still doesn't work. (to the tune of about 300 smacks). Does anybody have any suggestions for any of these problems?

Well the light problem has been addressed here before and I fixed mine by using contact cleaner. Its been a year with no light issues. Try searching to find a more detailed fix ... but basically the 10 way turn signal switch has some grease in it that eventually runs and forms connections between contacts. The contact cleaner got rid of the grease. Good luck with the other issues.
