87 jeep no start?!?

Hi all. I have an 87 jeep cherokee 4.0. It had a stuck valve so i replaced the head, and now it wont start. It has good compression and fire, and when i try to start it it bucks a little like it is firing but it wont start. i have tried starter fluid but didnt get much in the way of results. the cps is hooked up as well as the tps. Anyone who could help i would greatly appreciate it. Thnx:banghead:
