abs sensor for 2000 regal LS

Can someone show me a picture of a (abs right front sensor). My light is on and I think it is caused by the sensor. If the sensor is what I found down there, it is loose. Can this cause my light to go on?
Is this a hard job to do?Can I do it myself or do I have to take it to a dealer?

Checkout the Buick Tips & Maintenance forum. It has a tech procedure for hub/wheel sensor replacement and pics of the hub. See link below.

Unless you are getting a TRAC OFF light or it is affecting the traction control system it may not be your problem. But it doesn't hurt to double check the wiring and electrical connector. Make sure there are no shorts which could affect other portions of the circuit.

No I am not getting the TRAC OFF light and I do not think it is affecting the traction control --so does this mean it is not the sensor?

Possible but I doubt it is any one of the wheel sensors causing your problem. The same wheel sensors are used for ABS, traction control and low tire monitoring. Based on the way ABS tests itself I don't think you're making it that far. I recall your failure was when the pump was checked. The following info may be helpful. Used in conjunction with a Tech II scan tool.
When finished, perform the motor rehome procedure in order to ensure the pistons are in the upmost position. Do not drive the vehicle. If a scan tool is not available, remove your foot from the brake pedal, then start the engine. Allow the engine to run for at least 10 seconds in order to initialize the ABS. Do not drive the vehicle. After 10 seconds, turn off the ignition.
The EBCM performs 1 initialization test each ignition cycle. The initialization of the EBCM occurs when 1 set of the following conditions occur:
Both of the following conditions occur:
* The EBCM detects that there is a minimum of 500 RPM from the PCM via a serial data message.
* The stop lamp switch is not applied.
OR
Both of the following conditions occur:
* The vehicle speed is greater than 16 km/h (10 mph).
* The stop lamp switch is applied.
The initialization sequence may also be commanded with a scan tool.
The initialization sequence cycles each solenoid valve and the pump motor, as well as the necessary relays, for approximately 1.5 seconds to check component operation. The EBCM sets a DTC if any error is detected. The initialization sequence may be heard and felt while it is taking place, and is considered part of normal system operation.
The EBCM defines a drive cycle as the completion of the initialization sequence.
