Customization Competetion.

Ok, I decided to have a competetion to take the most pathetic car and do whatever we can with it, here's the rules and how's it gonna work.

1. I'm going to take names of people that want to be in it.
2. The Competetion will be ending on the 18th at 18:00 (6PM EST)
3. I will post all the finished pics in the main post and open a poll.
4. Winner will get to the pick the car for the next competition and so forth.

Well I'm just going to put them up there and there will be a poll open for everyone to vote on the one they like the best, so whatever you can come up with is acceptable.

Uh I just did mine in like 10 minutes haha, didn't do much to if, if anyone knows me they know that's my style, I don't want to post it yet but just to let everyone know there is 3 Days, 1 Hour, and 6 Minutes left from now :D.

All original parts. Chopped twice, lowered, shaved handles, Same rims (just bigger), air inlets on bumper, black grill, window tint, ditched the roof rack, and sorry, the orange had to go too.

For this not being your thing, you sure know your way around Photoshop. Nice job. Musta been tricky finding those rims. I can never find ones that fit "just right".

I meant your design :P, I don't do a lot of this style (I meant how you chopped the top), everything on this car I've never done before except once a grill that didn't turn out good, guess where I found the rims? New Camaro :P.

The Turbo in the light looks wierd, the roll bar has to go :P, I don't like the rims, paint looks nice, and I like the back conversion, WTH is in the grill haha? I like the exhaust on the side don't look bad, so I'm 50/50 on it.

Well atleast I did something other than just changing the rims and adding a vent...
Besides, I didn't make it because I think it looks good, I just made it creative, and I think you'll agree that it's one of the most creative here.
BTW, that's an intercooler in the grille, due to the turbocharger.

Edit: also, the chop is intended to be a drag-style truck, which you're probably not familiar with. The turbo in the headlight is common among some racers as it provides the best airflow for the turbo. The rollcage was added because it makes it even more drag spec, and the back looked too empty without it. The exhaust out the side is also to make it more of a drag truck.

Oh I'm not into that stuff your right, but it's not necessarly for creativity it's to make it look nice, I coulda added a million things to mine haha. We'll I'll open a vote in a minute.

I was thinkin maybe a rust-bucket or damaged car that could have potential (like something at http://www.carsinbarns.com/). Maybe another tragically ugly ride like a Honda Element or an AMC Pacer. :2cents:

That is a sad sad website. But my question is, are you wanting to clean up the rusted junkyard cars? Or do you want to do it the other way by taking a nice clean car pic and making it look like a junkyard find? Like take a photo of a brand new car and put it in a junkyard setting. Either way it sounds like a really good challenge.:grinyes:

i would have but i was very busy, doing sanding and stuff, and with this pc, it takes about 15 minutes to realise ive clicked photoshop ;) lmao

I was thinking like something with potential, like a 300c or a Charger or something, I hate rust buckets. or we can find a really bad car and put it in a nice place or somethin u know, change the body and make up a car, just find a random car and make it a nice one and put like any sign we want on it.

Why don't we do something in vector? Or how about an all encompassing piece with whatever programs we want to use.(Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D max, Corel Draw etc.) You tell us the car to use and we just take it and run with it. If you think you got skills then step up to plate and let the best art piece win kind of thing. Any way the artist chooses.

No it wouldn't be fare if someone has more access to pics or somethin' you know? This is more fair, just photoshop whatever you want/can, I like the idea of just makin' up a car you know, but we all use something random with a lot of potential like a camry or something like that idk, just an idea.

I was just sayin' to do the best you can with what you have available to you. Like, if you wanted to use a different picture then you could so long as it was the car specified and whatever program you are best at using. But your way is cool too. I'm down for whatever.:smokin:

The winner gets the honor of picking the photo for the next comp, and should probably set the rules too. We've all had some good ideas so far. Anyone else wanna add their :2cents: on this?

Uh 2 days, hopefully everyone will find a pic they wanna do and we can give him a better chance to do it. The theme was a patheic car for the Aztec, we need a theme for the next one.

I think maybe we could post some ideas, but as Dboy outlined in the original rules....... A little vague, but I assumed it was the photo.

Yeah, but I mean if the majority doesn't like the pic idea chosen we can do a different one. But yeah everyone is entitled to their 2 cents on the idea.
