There are no electronic manuals for 1988. You might find hard copies on Ebay from time to time. Also, http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm AutoZone.com is constantly updating their online services, yours isn't there now but it might come up some day, maybe soon.

Thanks! They have some similar vehicles that could be helpfull. My Dad has a repair manual - I might see if my Mom can copy the needed pages and fax them tomorrow.

I changed the radiator on my TC and when it was out I was going to replace the seal in mine. Lots of room once radiator was out.

Dirrections seemed easy enough but had no balls to mess with the hydraulic lines. Didnt want to cause delay in trip I was leaving on that night.

pitman arm end has to be removed and the gear on the inside does to according to direction.

It looked like the gear could be pulled out the top cover of the box but is too long to clear stuff above it. And you need to have car up pretty high to get seal puller iunder there.

With the radiator out you can get to the top of the lines and pick rust and vaccum it away before removing lines.

You cam also change any questionable hoses at that time.

My wife is missing that half clogged radiator on these cool Michigan mornings

taking Grand daughter to the bus stop.

Thanks, it was actually the alternator and power steering pump that needed removed, but same concept. I might not have though of it so fast with out this post. It is all back together and we will see in the morning if there is any more leaking.

I had my radiator out already to replace it so that would have been enough

room, With alt and PS outta there that too would be roomy.

Some guys like to start at the top and go down I start at the bottom and

work my way up.

I still havent replaced my seal yet I figured Id wait for the kids to go back

to school so i dont have to hear the gags about plumbers butt from them.

Thus the true reason for wanting to work from under the car.
