Blower/HVAC problems

I bought a used cherokee a year ago and the blower would operate on the high setting only. A month ago it started to intermittently work on high (when I'd hit a hard bump, it would turn on), and then quit working all together. I pulled the control panel out and found that the plastic wiring connector for the blower control switch had MELTED at the high setting connection. I replaced the switch and the blower motor resistor (thinking this was the reason it used to only operate on high.) It still didn't function.

I checked all the fuses (not having the fuse box diagram, I pulled every one out and checked it. Does anyone have a fuse box diagram, or can any tell me which fuse is for the blower motor or any relevant HVAC fuses?) The fuses all look fine.

Does anyone know what might have caused the connector to melt at the switch and if this may have had some effect on the motor?

I'm at a loss on what to check next. The blower motor itself? Could there be something damaged in the control panel? Does anyone know the exact path of the current flow to the motor (that might help me troubleshoot some?)

ANY help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!!
