Music???

allright i saw the other thread about some album someone bought.............and i just wanted to know wat kind of music you guys like.......................on the poll above you can only chose one thing so if you like two or more things just post em or sumthin........i like rap, hip hop, R&B, and ye thats it.......

I would vote but can't choose just 1.

My musical tastes are wide ranging and include most genres of music EXCEPT rap. Can't stand that shit

Mainly listen to Alternative (covers a wide range) and metal with some dance music thrown in for good measure

I like: Alternative, heavy metal, Pop (Some), Rock, Techno and music from any decade

Hate: rap, R&B, hip-hop, Some Pop, classical

where's the Punk?

I couldn't narrow it down to 1. I like heaps of different types of music. It all depends on what sort of mood I'm in. Heavy Metal, Rock, Alternative, 80s, dance....... the list goes on.

Rap,Hip-Hop, and Rnb for me.

As long as its orginal music, and not overly commercialised I will most likely enjoy listening to it.


For example I quite like NZ Hip Hop, Che Fu etc etc, but almost all of it is totaly orginal, unlike most of the American and British Shit which is just mixed samples of someone elses music. Nothing orginal.


However my music collection is almost entirly rock based, and dominated my Pink Floyd and New Zealand music. (its about 40% Kiwi rock, 40% floyd, and 20% other)

Call me a phillistine,but my C.D. collection stopped growing when I got the P.C....I've downloaded a lot of the more unusual tracks that I like rather than buy a couple of dozen mediocre albums to get the one good track from each.most of my stuff dates back to the '80's, the Billy Joel, the John Farnham,the Jimmy Barnes, the Paul McCartney,but there's a fair bit of later Kiwi music that I have collected for its unique sounds....

And don't yell at me for stealing from starving artists,it's been going on for years.....

Almost everything. My don't like list is smaller.

I don't like "pop rap", like Ja Rule or the like, but I LOVE real rap :D

I don't like Native Indian music, East Indian music, or other "tribal" type music like that.

I don't like opera.

I don't like chants.

I don't like boy band music, with 1 or 2 exceptions.

Popular country is OK......hardcore country is way better :D

ya can't have just one..
i like everything from bach to the beatles to metallica to kenny chesney, to eminem to mozart to led zeppelin.. there is just too much good music out there to only like one kind..

I hear quite a bit of differnt Indian music, but then I vist about 50 Indian owned Diarys during my work day.
There are even several that actualy sell tapes and CDs imported from India, and of course there is quite a lot of stuff comes out of the UK, where it had a influance in pop english pop music during the mid 90s.

And I jumped in a cab the other day and the driver was singing along to the music. I thought he sounded really really good, then realised he was singing along to his own tape!
He was some minnor pop singer in India, and had produced an Album before coming to NZ.
