will a 1994 302 replace a 1984 302?

Can I bolt an engine from a 1994 F150 into an 1984 F150? Main concerns are engine mounts and tranny bolting on. Can I use old intake manifold and carb if I have too? Don't have details on newer engine yet but older one just has 4bbl carb. Anything I need to know or look for? Thanks

It should all bolt up with the carb. Might be an even better if you could get all the wiring and computer and set it up as the 94.

Change the intake and exhaust manifolds. You might have to change the flexplate too.The 1994 302 possibaly has a block plate where the mechanical fuel pump went.Ford does this: 6 month changes on parts.I hate that and Ford needs to stop this.

Use an electric pump.

Thanks for the input. I just went and looked at the "94 engine. Appears to be the same long block and pan. Even the exhaust manifolds may be the same. Just have to swap intake, dist., and the whole serpentine setup has to come off, but I'm going for it. Will post the results when I finish.
