I have a 92 maxima se. The clutch peddle is to the floor, and there is fluid on the ground, but there is also fluid in the cylinder. where did the fluid come from? slave cylinder and why did all the fluid not leak out. Any help would be apperciated. Thanks

Is the fluid on the ground inside the vehicle or outside the vehicle?
if on the inside sounds like you got a bad clutch master cylinder,
if on the outside of the vehicle below the slave cylinder than most likely you need a slave cylinder, you can also get rebuild kits for these items will be alot cheaper.

Make sure you check the lines going to slave cylinder & master cylinder for any signs of a leak, and also remember to bleed the hydralic system if replacing any components.

it was the slave cylinder, it has since been fixed. But I have a new issue, the clutch pressure point has raised to the top for the peddle throw. Is it an adjustment issue or a bad clutch. It was fine for a day but the issue just happened.

If there is change after this fix, probably slave cylinder position related to the linkage has changed (loose bolts?). Theres limited mech adj possibility, modding slave cyl holes give also more possibility to adj (not 'normal')

If clutch doesnt slip, most probably its ok (slip= rpm rises 'fast when flooring gas pedal). Typically clutch lasts 150kmiles, at that 'point' it should be swapped along with axleboots seals etc to ensure problem free future.
