there should be settings in the crossover for a tweeter. read the owners manual. what tweet are you using that plays down to 700hz?

there must be a menu you will have to access. Then you will have to connect the rca's to the correct amp channels. you CANNOT use the crossover stuff with anything that has to do with the internal amps in the headunt.

ok so that head unit will work though right. ( this is my first time doing active with comonopots) and to bjboertje i was using that as an example. one more thing. when i take a dmm to the midrange it says 2.1 ohms but when i take it to the tweet it says 3.5 ohms. and they are suppose to be 2 ohm speakers. i figure that the 3.5 ohms for the tweet is to protect it but would like to make sure.

The head unit's HPF (High Pass Filter) will only go as high as a 200Hz Crossover frequency on the output, you would need a midbass to reproduce the freqs that low and use a passive crossover for the mids and highs to get the crossover points you want, conversely your LPF (Low Pass Filter) will have to also be set at 200 Hz so the subs will be able to fill the void between the HPF and LPF. You will be hard pressed to find a midrange to go down that low in frequency and definitely will not find any tweeter that will go that low in frequency.

I try to keep the processing out of the headunit. And there a few tweets that will play that low but I would be skeptical of their freq resp above say 18 KHz.

well i think i am just going to go with the sax100-4 so then i won't have to worrie. why paul do you try to keep the processing out of the headunit?

because you are trapped intousing pretty much all or none if you use the headunit stuff. Besides, I think the headunit has more important tasks at hand ..... like playing CD's
