Hi everyone,

Just a few quick questions about UT Models kits.
Are those good or not?
If good, than how good compared to Tamiya and Revell?!

Thanks in advance!

I believe they only made 2 kits - Porsche GT1 and Opel Astra.

Calibra.

There have been several examples of each built on this forum, you should be able to find them. I seem to recall the consensus is that they're decent kits.

If you build the Porsche, the decals are garbage, buy a set from Renaissance. Mine actually melted when I put them in hot water. Hot water releases them faster and I've had no problems with Scale Motorsport, Tamiya or anything printed by cartograf so I have no idea who printed the UT decals but they suck!

I built The 911 GT-1 twice (which is differnt version than the Tamiya kit). The first time was terrible, nothing went together right, or fit right and the instuctions were completely incomprehensible. The second time around, I tried everything agian and built it verrrrrrrry carfully and suprisingly, it turned out well. The decals started to brown a few days after i glossed it.

Thanks for the info.
I tried to find pictures of the finished models but to no avail.
There is mention of it in the forum but the posts are maybe to old and the pictures simply don't show in my browser.
