Bare Metal Polish

Has any of you ever used bare metal polish. If you have, could you please Tell me how to use it. This may be a stupid question but what is it for? In what stage of the paint job should you use it. In my local hobby shop there was no tamiya wax or compound. Is this a wax or a compound. I'm confused. :confused: Please :help: me.

It's a very fine grade polish. It will not remove heavy orange peel but it will give a nice shine on a smooth paint job. I believe it is good to have many types and grades of polishes because different paints respond differently to different polishes. You really have to just go and buy stuff and try it. I probably use a dozen or so polishes.
