This might be a dumb question, but what's the difference? I've seen a few different things where just like the GXP is the new GTP but then I've seen something that said like the GXP series is just a GT (no supercharger) with added performance parts. Someone want to clear this up for me? :uhoh:

The new GXP's are 8 cylinders.

As far as I know, in the 97-03 body style, the GXP was just an appearance pkg (wheels, spoiler, hood scoops, etc...) and notthing more. The newer 04-up GXP is the hot rod v-8 version.

On the '97 - '03 don't forget the GTX - Grand Touring Experimental model. Our old buddy Jim (Rip) had one. As to the V8 5.3L LS4 303 hp in the '04 and up not exactly a hot rodder's dream car.

The LS2 found in the GTO is a different story.
