:1: It's hard to believe it's been 6 years already, seems just like a couple of years ago to me. I think as time goes on we'll always remember that moment, where we were and what we were doing at the time we first heard the news.

Those are amazing pictures man. It really does not seem like 6 years have gone by. I drove by where they were this weekend for the hell of it and I hate seeing that hole in the ground, I really can't wait to see some more progress on the new towers.
On a side note I think I have a picture of the towers at home that I took when i was a kid. I remember it now because it appears that it was taken from the same location as the last picture posted of the new towers. kind of weird seeing it with the new towers there.

I remember standing on the observation deck during a school trip a bunch of years ago. I also remember exactly what I was doing when I found out what was going on, and the scared phone calls I got from friends who were wondering if I was down there. Kinda spooky.

I was a sophomore in hs and I was sick that day so I stayed home. Woke up and turned on the tv and it was the channel. Thought it was old footage or a movie until I turned to other channels and it was on all of them.

I almost wish they would rebuild the towers exactly how they were just with more structural integrity. I love the way the Freedom Tower looks but I remember when I saw the twins for the first time they just had such a lasting impression. Very powerful, even before they were destroyed. :frown:

The day that changed the Western World. A very sad memory indeed.

I remember waking up that afternoon wondering WTF was going on as I'd been asleep since about 3 a.m. previously.
