I've been thinking of doing this for a while, looks really nice. how complicated would it be to install this digital gauge cluster for my 83 caprice, not i DO have 4 gauges already in mine (including the fuel economy vac gauge) heres a link: http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=483/category_id=321/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd483.htm

Well, they have the product manual on their site for download, I am sure that will outlay what is required for install.

It's a nice looking unit - I've been debating one myself for a few months now. Note that you do have to get the gearshift sender in order to have that portion. It's right about $800 - not 100% sure if that's money that can't be spent elsewhere on my car (like in an engine rebuild, for example. Mine is running great, but has a small oil leak at the rear and it DOES have 285,000 miles on it).

yeah thats what i was debating also, if it would even be worth it, money-wise and for an beginner like me to take on something technical like that. they are very nice though i must say again
