i think i need new shocks, here's my story
i got 18inch rims so i had to use my coilovers to raise my car. they barely fit so i raised the back up alittle to sit up like an Si. well, sometimes my car will sit up, sometimes i'll get out and look at it and one side will be lowered, then the next day that side will be back up and the other side will be lowered, next day maybe they will both be lowered, then theyll come back up and the coilovers are locked and never move. could this be a case of bad shocks, and if so give me a list of the best posible shocks( i said best, not cheapest, i dont do anything cheap) and how hard would it be to replace them.
thanks,
robo

sounds more like you're parking it on an uneven surface.

bad shocks dont shift heights. if the strut were blown, the car would still sit at the same height, based on the springs' full extension.

so then what could cause the shift?

Spring not seating right?
But I vote for uneve surface too. Just because a surface looks level doesn't mean it is. My garage is off by about .25" on one corner. Enough to make a difference where I park.
Eyeballing it is not always the best way.

the best shocks are tokico 5 way ajd. or tokcio blues which are as stiff as a number 4 on the adj. ones.

yeah, ive got the 5-ways, and let me tell you how much i love them! theo ther day, I was driving around an integra, I dont remember the setup, but it wasnt stock, but still, that thing felt like it had blown struts after driving my car for so long. I think adjustables are the way to go.
